God Save the Queen (or King) has been UK's national anthem for a loooooong time. It was actuyally adoped back in 1745 (!)
Wheither "Queen" or "King" is sung, depends on the gender of the monarch. So for many years now, "Queen" has been sung - for Queen Elizabeth.
Tip: UK national anthem God Save the Queen has got several verses, but mostly only the first verse is sung. If you are singing it with kids, we recommend to just sing one verse. You can see the lyrics below. And why not sing the same verse two (or more) times?
